Crossroads is a community after school performing arts youth program providing a safe and secure environment to
enrich the lives of the youth in the Saco-Biddeford and Newport-Hampden Maine area. We are a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization established to provide out of school mentoring programs for children, youth and
teens. Simply, Crossroads provide structured programs for youth during the critical after school hours. Your children and youth are our top priority.
Who are Crossroads Kids
Anyone in the greater Saco-Biddeford and Newport-Hampden Maine area beginning at age seven, our welcomed in our
various programs. Read on for a program that is age appropriate for you!
Scholarships
The Jeff Christenbury STAR Scholarship Award is named for our first recipient, member, volunteer of the teen advisory board
and now a member of the board of directors. The award is given annually to a graduating senior or junior high graduate who has demonstrated outstanding community service and volunteerism in their community, school
and life.

Musical Theater
Crossroads raises the majority of our funds through our summer musical theater, STAR Camps and our annual musical
fundraisers. We encourage families to work as a team by auditioning, painting, set building etc. Adults mentor youth on community values and performance. All ages are encouraged to take part. Check out our

Drama Programs
Crossroads offers Drama Clubs weekly at Saco Middle School, CK Burns Primary School and Newport. Classes start each
September and are available one to five afternoons depending on your interest!

Interactive Theater
for Social Awareness & Mentoring
K-5 Educational Interactive Plays. What a great idea!! Based on the Maine Student Code of Conduct, this program builds
awareness around the core values set for a healthy Safe School Climate. Fostering respect, honesty, compassion, fairness, acceptance and community in our young people has a powerful impact on their future.
