Ready Set GO! Kindergarten Project
Here’s the Green Light: Contribute to making our schools SAFE!
Bryson Taylor Publishing announced its Ready Set Go! Kindergarten Donation Project
with a donation of over 1000 books to local kindergarten programs. The books are now available at a significantly reduced rate as a welcoming gift for incoming students and have several schools and communities lining up to participate.
Now in its second year, the project funded by Saco Biddeford Savings Institution
has set the highest standards of community support for our children. We encourage other organization to join in a campaign by welcoming their students with a promise of community values and provide them with a welcoming school climate, free of violence, intimidation and fear, an environment strongly supported by the community in which teachers can teach and students can learn.
Sticks Stones and Stumped teaches parents, students and teachers about safe school conduct, bullying and harassment prevention. This community supported program is perfect when
accompanied by a letter outlining the schools expected conduct and awareness of how to keep the schools safe.

Saco Biddeford Savings Institution and Crossroad Make Donations for Safe Schools
Saco Biddeford Savings Institution and Crossroads Youth Center are welcoming Biddeford and Saco kindergarten students to school again this year with the gift of the best selling
children’s book, Sticks Stones and Stumped.
Ms. Landry’s book, inspired by Maine legislation (LD 564) on bully and harassment prevention, tells a tale weaving the bully, target, bystander and adult into a sensitive story about the
growing bullying problem facing our children today.
This Kindergarten book project, now in its second year, initiated a public service announcement with WGME 13 on giving Maine Promise, filmed at Young School last year. The PSA, still seen on
WGME, is part of a community effort to assist schools to create and maintain a positive and welcoming school climate, free of violence, intimidation and fear, an environment strongly supported by the
community in which teachers can teach and students can learn.
Sticks Stones and Stumped is a valuable tool for teachers and parents addressing this important subject of school safety and social values in a story of friendship, honesty, community,
respect and communication.
This project has encouraged other communities to follow SBSI and CYC’s book donations and their support and commitment to provide safe school climates. To find out more about the
Book Project or how you can get books donated to your organization, visit www.brysontaylorpublishing.com
